Types of groups

There are 3 types of groups:

1. Public groups
2. Private groups
3. Subscriber-only groups

Public groups

Public groups are open groups that anyone on Chatter can join.

Private groups

Private groups are closed groups that only invited people can join.

Subscriber-only groups

Chatter Pro subscribers can create subscriber-only groups. Subscriber-only groups are paid membership groups and people must subscribe to join by paying a monthly subscription. You can set the subscription price while creating the group.

In a future update, you will be able to add a subscription to your existing public groups or private groups.
