Private rooms

Private rooms on Chatter are based on the roles of group members.

You can host private rooms that only people with the roles you select, such as Admins, Moderators or Subscribers, can join. Learn more about group roles here.

1. Tap on the + button in the bottom navigation bar.
2. Tap on Go live.
3. Type the room title.
4. Select the group in which you want to host the room.
5. Select whether to enable or disable Moments in the room.
6. Set the room privacy to Private.
7. Select who should be allowed to join the room. By default, the group owner and admins can join any room in their group.
8. Add co-hosts and moderators. Both are optional and you can add up to 2 co-hosts and as many moderators as you want. They should have the roles you selected above.
9. Tap on Start live room at the top right.
10. Create a post with text, image or video to post the live room in the feed. Type the post and tap on Add.
