🔧 Fixes & Improvements

  • Screenshare & Camera fixes: Full screen mode no longer crops screenshare or camera views.
  • Fixed issue where the refresh action gets stuck on the For You feed.
  • Implemented user banning functionality based on device ID for enhanced security. When a user is banned, it bans the actual device as well from creating new accounts.
  • Improved socket listener handling for live rooms and groups, ensuring smoother real-time interactions. No more “not seeing rocket chats in rooms”, “not able to use the chat”, “not able to see emojis in rooms”, “not able to receive stage requests - cohost/moderator/speaker”
  • Fixed issue on Android devices where uploading a group avatar during group creation wasn’t functioning.
  • Resolved general socket connection issues to enhance overall stability.
  • Addressed an issue causing the app to crash when opening notifications.
  • Fixed bug preventing users from connecting to live rooms (“Can’t connect to the room” issue).
  • Keyboard bug on Android: You can now tap the search box even after the keyboard is dismissed.
  • Reposts grouping: Reposts from people you follow are now grouped together, making your feed cleaner.
  • Home button behavior: Tapping the Home button now scrolls you back to the top.
  • Video cropping resolved: Fixed an issue where videos were being cropped during post creation.
  • GIF posting restored: GIFs now work again on iOS and Android. Plus, you can drag and drop from the GIF sheet.
  • Admin tools in Groups: Admins now see the Manage button again in the group.
  • Post upload indicator: If uploading a post takes longer than expected, a “processing” status now appears.

🎤 Live Room Updates

  • Moderator Limit Removed: You can now add more than 2 moderators to a live room.
  • Co-host & Moderator invite errors: Added clearer error messages when inviting co-hosts and moderators.
  • Camera conflicts fixed: If you’re using both the Chatter mobile app and Chatter Studio preview at once, camera video will no longer appear blank.

🛠️ Miscellaneous

  • Copy post URL: The “Copy post link” now points to the correct link that starts with preview.chattersocial.io
  • Profile & Group feed scroll: Added extra padding at the bottom. Now you can scroll all the way down without anything getting cut off.

  • Added the ability to double tap on screenshare stream or people on video to go full screen.
  • Added auto hide of the control buttons at the bottom when screenshare or video is on full screen. Tapping on the screen once will show or hide the control buttons.
  • Added looping in moments. Moments playback now loops instead of pausing at the end.
  • Added an unread message count badge for group chats at the bottom right of groups.
  • Fixed a bug in emoji reactions in group chats. Now you can tap on the + button and react with any emoji.
  • Fixed a bug with raise hand on stage. Now the hand will lower automatically when unmuting.
  • Fixed a bug in push notifications. Now when you open a push notification, it will go to the room, post, moment or message in the notification.

    • The Home Feed interface has been revamped for improved navigation.
    • Easily toggle between the personalized 'For You' feed and your dedicated Group Feeds, providing direct access to groups you're part of.

  • Dedicated Moments Tab:
    • Moments now have their own tab accessible directly from the bottom navigation bar, ensuring easy and quick access to the latest Moments.

    • A new dedicated section highlights live rooms, making it effortless to join and engage with real-time content.

🐞 Bug Fixes & Improvements:

    • Audio Bug in Live Rooms:
      • Major fixes implemented addressing audio disruptions caused by RocketChat animations. Remaining minor edge cases will be resolved in the upcoming release.
    • RocketChat Enhancements:
      • RocketChat progress bars now update accurately and in real-time.
      • RocketChat messages now support clickable links for better interaction.
    • UI and Navigation Fixes:
      • Fixed username text overflow issues on reposts.
      • Corrected spacing for Messages and Notification badges on the main feed.
      • Profiles now correctly load from the top position.
      • Resolved the refresh issue causing the main feed to freeze.
      • Fixed crashes when navigating to Groups from the home feed dropdown.
      • Removed unnecessary '+' button from the Discover feed.
      • Moments audio now stops as intended when navigating away from the Moments feed or when joining a live room.
      • Addressed and resolved the black screen issue in live rooms.

  • What's Next:
    • Expect additional bug fixes by Thursday, enhancing platform stability.

  • Added a new RocketChat Goal feature that lets Chatter Pro subscribers set a goal for room participants to view and contribute towards.
  • Added RocketChat animations queue so if multiple RocketChats were sent at the same time, the animations will play one after the other.
  • Updated the algorithm to automatically hide posts and moments you have seen to keep the feeds fresh with new posts and moments.
  • Fixed a bug that caused RocketChat animations to dismiss when performing any actions in the room.
  • Fixed a bug in the Sign up with Bluesky process.
  • Improved "seen" logic: posts now marked as viewed faster.

  • Rearranged the buttons in live rooms to make it easier to react and clip moments, and to avoid accidentally tapping on the camera or screenshare buttons.

  • Added Leave room button to the ••• menu in live room to make it easier to leave rooms without needing to minimize the room first.
  • Added Raise Hand and Microphone button at the bottom right of the room chat screen to make it easier to raise hand and mute or unmute while on the chat screen without needing to come back to the room screen.
  • Added the ability to swipe back from chat screen to room screen.
  • Improved RocketChat animations by increasing the duration, adding sound effects, and showing the animation in the chat screen.
  • Changed Moments toggle to off by default when creating or scheduling a live room. Enabling the toggle will allow people to clip moments in the room, and it will also show the room in the Live Now section at the top of the home feed and group feed if anyone is live on camera.
  • Added a Recording indicator at the top of the room screen when Moments feature is enabled in the room.
  • Temporarily removed the Moments toggle from the Room Settings. You must enable or disable Moments while starting or scheduling the room.
  • Reduced the number of participants shown at the bottom right of Moments from 4 to 2.
  • Updated the Live Now section to use the new Moments template instead of the older video layout.
  • Fixed a bug that caused images to get cropped as squares. Now you can post landscape or portrait images.
  • Fixed a bug that caused videos to not play on full screen. Now vertical videos open in full screen.
  • Added push notifications for scheduled rooms you RSVP'd for. More push notifications are coming soon!

Multistreaming: Chatter Pro subscribers will be able to livestream their Chatter rooms to other platforms.

Watch Party: Chatter Pro subscribers will be able to use the Watch Party feature in live rooms to play videos directly from YouTube and other platforms without needing to use Chatter Studio.
