Connect Stripe account
To receive payouts of the revenue you generated with RocketChats and group subscriptions, you must subscribe to Chatter Pro and then connect your Stripe account to your Chatter account.
Note: We switched from Stripe Connect to Stripe Express on August 9. If you had connected your Stripe account before August 9, you must connect your Stripe account again by following the steps below.
Connect your Stripe account
- Open the Chatter app.
- Make sure your country is selected correctly in Account information.
- Tap on your profile picture at the top right of the home screen.
- Tap on $ at the top right.
- Tap on more details.
- Tap on Pending.
- Tap on Connect your Stripe account.
- Log in to your existing Stripe account or sign up for a Stripe account.
Payout schedule
Payouts are sent to your linked bank account via Stripe Express in your local currency, on around the 10th day of each month — typically within 40 days of the end of each calendar month.
Chatter does not hold your earnings. Payments are first processed by Apple or Google, depending on the phone used for each RocketChat payment or group subscription.
- Apple releases funds to Chatter up to 45 days after the end of the month.
- Google typically pays around the 15th of the following month.
Chatter’s payout timeline is aligned with these schedules. While instant payouts (with a processing fee) are coming soon, you can refer to the table below for the expected payout dates based on when revenue is earned. Please note: your bank may take a few extra days to post the funds.
